Horseradish

Brassicaceae

ONE PLANT FEEDS A FAMILY. Aggressively invasive — MUST contain or harvest annually. Every root fragment sprouts. NEVER rototill soil with horseradish. Plant in buried containers or with 24+ inch deep barriers. Harvest after first frost (improves flavor). 140-160 DTM grown as annual. Lift-and-strip technique for highest quality roots. Flavor strongest freshly grated — heat/time reduce pungency. Maliner Kren: most vigorous. Variegata: less invasive.
