Mildest hot pepper in this set. Developed by Dr. Fabian Garcia at NMSU; brought to California early 1900s. Also called New Mexico chile or Hatch chile. Large 6-10 inch fruit ideal for roasting, stuffing, grilling. Dried red form = 'Seco del Norte.' Most family-friendly hot pepper. Open-pollinated.
